WHAT IS AUTO DETAILING?
Auto Detailing is defined as a process to clean, rejuvenate and protect the various surfaces of a vehicle.
WHY IS AUTO DETAILING NECESSARY?
Your car accumulates numerous contaminants that can harm the finish. Pollutants, mud, salt, dirt, sand, bugs, tar, rain, sun, etc. are extremely harmful to the paint. Detailing leaves microscopic layers of fine wax particles that provide a deep shine and form a clear chemical bond that protects the paint and its original clear coat. Regular detailing can extend the life of your car’s finish. Professional detailing is not just a luxury it is an investment.
WHAT IS REJUVENATING?
Rejuvenating is a process to restore your vehicle back to or as close to the original condition. There are many levels and steps that are used for rejuvenation. All are determined by the customer’s expectation and condition of the vehicle or area being rejuvenated. Rejuvenation usually involves equipment and products such as polishing machines, compounds, polishes and cleaner waxes.
WHAT IS PROTECTING?
Protecting is the use of protective waxes, paint sealants, protective dressings, leather conditioners, and fabric and carpet stain protectors.
WHAT IS SWIRL MARKS?
Swirl marks are the "C" like marks you see in painted surfaces. They are the result of the misuse of professional polishing equipment or poor product selection. The solution to this problem is to hire a professional.
WHAT IS OXIDATION?
Oxidation is the drying out and fading of a vehicle’s finish. This is caused by exposure to the elements, the lack of waxes, paint protection, sealant or any combination of the four.
WHAT IS CARNAUBA WAX?
Carnauba wax comes from a species of palm trees in South America and is one of the hardest types of waxes available. It works best when it is properly blended with other waxes so it becomes easier to apply and buff off. Carnauba Waxes last about 2 - 3 months, and can be layered for optimal effect. They also create a tremendous amount of depth on dark colors.
WHAT IS PAINT POLISHING?
Paint Polishing (Surface Oxidation Remover) removes light tree sap, swirl marks, oxidized car paints/finishes and other hazing. Car Polish also temporarily brings out the original shine of your new car's paint.
CAN SCRATCHES BE REMOVED?
Some minor scratches can be buffed/polished out. A common rule of thumb is if you can feel the scratch with your fingernail, it is probably too deep to be removed just by regular polishing. Some scratches may need a heavy compounding and/or wet sanding to effectively remove or hide the raised areas of the scratch.
IS IT REALLY WORTH PAYING TO DETAIL MY CAR RIGHT BEFORE I SELL IT?
Absolutely and here’s why. Having your vehicle detailed can instantly increase its value. Your car will sell faster and for more money if you have it detailed. This is a FACT proven by used auto dealers millions of times over. Think about this… auto dealers are in business to make money on every car sale right? Then why do they spend money detailing every single car that goes on their lot? The answer is obvious. Also think of it this way, people that come by to see your car for sale have probably been shopping around right? Yours is not the first or last car they have looked at. If yours is freshly detailed it will make a noticeable impression on them. It will appear that you have kept the vehicle clean and well maintained its entire life! Our Presidential detail package (which includes engine detailing, etc.) is a great choice that will enhance the vehicle’s appearance and will help increase resale value… in most cases, many times the cost of the detail itself.
CAN ALL STAINS BE REMOVED?
No, but pre-treatment of spots and stains will remove many. Depending on the makeup of the stain, sometimes even pre-treatment will not work. In this case, the carpet will either need to be replaced or re-dyed.
WHY DO I NEED A WAX OR SEALANT ON MY CAR?
Wax and sealants are the only way to protect your vehicle's finish. Rain, acid rain, snow, sunlight, bugs, tar, road grime, pollen, and bird droppings can all eat through your paint. Keeping your car clean and protected will reduce the chances of these elements harming your car, while providing a glossy finish and shine.
MY CAR IS BRAND NEW. DO I REALLY NEED IT DETAILED?
Prevention is critical. Having your new car detailed will start you off on the right foot and ensure there is a proper layer of wax or sealant on the paint.
WHAT IS GREEN DETAILING.
Green detailing is the use of bio-degradable cleaning supplies and the elimination of anything that may pose a threat to the environment. Although we do offer a totally Eco friendly service called the “Go Green” detail, all of our interior cleaning is done using vapor steam methods that are hypo-allergenic, kill bacteria and will not leave a strong chemical smell behind.
WHAT IS OZONE?
Ozone is the second most powerful sterilant in the world and can be used to destroy bacteria, viruses and odors. We utilize Ozone, if required, with the "Go Green" detail package. Ozone can also be purchased as an “add-on” for our other detail packages or as an "a la carte" item.
